The Most Accurate Nutrition Calculation Starts With Raw Data

As part of ongoing enhancements to our software, we’ve added a new feature for our NutriCalc® Premium plan users.
As there is no worldwide ingredient database and standard formula for nutrition calculation, each region / country can calculate nutrition slightly differently – e.g. energy values are calculated differently for the UK/EU compared to the USA.
As NutriCalc Online enables you to combine ingredients from both the UK/EU and USA official ingredient databases in the same recipe – with each region’s database using a different formula for calculating nutrition information – our software first needs to remove these calculations so that all data is in the same ‘raw data’ form. This ensures that region-specific nutrition calculations provide the highest level of accuracy possible.
To provide you with the most accurate nutrition calculator, under the ‘Nutrition’ tab, you will therefore find that your recipe data showing is defaulted to ‘CALCULATION: NONE’ (i.e. ‘raw data’) on the dropdown menu above the data.
The next step is for the software to separately calculate the nutrition information for each region / country you are supplying your products to, such as the UK/EU, and the USA.
Under the dropdown menu where it says ‘CALCULATION: NONE’, select the relevant region / country option and then your data will be converted from the raw data form to whichever region / country you select – e.g. UK/EU, USA, Canada, Australia / New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Gulf Council.
The same process applies if you are using one of our region / country-specific nutrition reports and labels under the ‘Reports’ tab, but you will only be able to select the region / country which the report or label relates to.
